There are a large amount of rolling oil on the surface of presensitized (PS) offset plate base coiled material for printing use after processing in rolling mill, therefore a rapid and efficient degreasing and cleaning will be carried out before use. In the paper, a foam-free liquid alkaline degreaser suitable for PS aluminum plate base coiled material for printing use was introduced. The foam evaluation was made by foam testing. The degreasing performance of degreaser was estimated by comparing the laboratory rinse effect with a special degreaser and by pilot test and on-site rinse effect between the base plates with and without rolling oil.
